Privacy Policy

Privacy must be clear to organizers and participants.

This page describes the standard approach for TURNIR. In production, legal text may be further adapted to the actual operator, contract, and country where the service is used.

Who uses which data?

TURNIR processes data to operate the SaaS platform. The tournament organizer manages tournament content and decides which public information is published. Participants use the Player flow for registration, status, and tournament information.

What data does the organizer provide?

The organizer may provide display name, email, organization/workspace details, contact details, plan or billing details, tournament content, location, deadlines, rules, and publicly approved promotional information.

What data does the participant provide?

For participants, a minimal set is preferred: display name, category, team or pair, county/region, age group, and gender when needed for statistics or categories. Age groups may be, for example, under 18, 18-30, 30-40, 40-50, and 50+.

Is the participant's legal name required?

The standard approach is display name. Full name is used only when explicitly needed for tournament rules, when the participant explicitly chooses it, or when the organizer clearly announces that results are kept under real names.

Why is data processed?

Data is processed for registration and tournament management, status communication, schedule creation, results display, promotional links and materials, organizer support, security, SaaS billing, and legal obligations.

What is public?

Public information may include tournament name, description, location, rules, deadlines, schedule, results, display name or approved display name, sponsor content, and public-safe links. Private notes, tokens, billing data, and payment evidence must not be public.

What are the GDPR rights?

A user may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or objection where applicable. Requests can be sent to info@turnir.net, with a note about the relevant tournament or user account.

How long is data kept?

Data is kept as long as needed for tournament operation, support, security, accounting, or legal obligations. Publicly published results and tournament pages may remain available as an archive if clearly announced and public-safe.
